Hello all,
this is the third figure from the Andrea Miniatures 7th Cavalry themed models. It's a metal model in 54mm scale (1/32nd scale).
This is an OOB production.
The kit comes in three parts, body, hat and pistol holster.
The paints selected used come from my favourite acrylic paint ranges, Andrea, Vallejo and Scale 75.
I used static grass applied with an applicator from a Railway modelling rsnge, boy do you get a jolt if you make a mistake with these things.
Other taller grasses were made from paint brush bristles.
The straw hat is non standard issue and privately purchased. Some were ex US Navy Civil War issues purchased by clever sutlers, and sold to the troops.
Please enjoy this model, I had a great time painting and basing him.
I am about to start on a mounted figure of Custer in 54mm scale from the Andrea range, wish me luck.
