Hi Everyone Model UPDATE WIP Decided to do some painting to day so decided to start with the spare body for my MATADOR Diorama . So I have now painted the Wood and rust base coats on the spare body and the wood on the truck body. next stage is to varnish and seal the spare body leave for two days for the Varnish to dry then hairspray, Chipping, crackle and salt and spray British Bronze green then do chipping effect . Truck will be treated the same way but in a Totally different colours , two blues and white Also here is another one I am build the same time which mat be in the same model. I have been following the way Rob Scratchmod painted his models and his great book. hope you like it . Ossie

Hi Everyone So today I have sealed the model in matt Vallejo varnish and will leave to dry over the next 24 hrs then I will start the next stage of the weathering. you will see I have been trying out different methods of weathering salt is ok, hair spray not to keen on but the Vallejo chipping medium is easy to control and has great effect. So if you look in the picture you will see some blues left had very Matt paints are SCALE 75 blues very matt and the others are Vallejo so the colours are : Chassis Dark Blue body and cab light Blue and the roof white and inside a grey blue unsure yet . So I also included the two web images of which inspired me to build this model. Hope you like the idea. Ossie

Hi Everyone Well disaster struck. So having sprayed the model with Vallejo Matt varnish which went gloss so not good start and then sprayed Vallejo chipping medium I let it dry for a few hours but it went Glossy and Tacky Anyway thought this is was a part of the process. So I added salt and sprayed the model Truck the colours I wanted it to be , disaster struck . It never dried went all funny and the paint came off with my fingers . The body which has yet to be sprayed green which I had sprayed the chipping suction on was also tacky so decided I would was all the models in warm washing up liquid and low and behold it has all come off . Got some repairs to do but may be able to salvage this build which currently is 18 mths , If I can not salvage it it will go to the bin. So the pictures show the following . Salt added and then model painted and put together , And Finally you can see where I have washed the model and the chipping liquid has come off, i am going to try some small areas on my test peace and see what I am doing wrong. Sorry its not good news but you can see the idea of the model Thank you Ossie
