This beauty of a figure was sculpted by Taesung Harmms. Painted in oils over acrylics with a bit of scratch building for the dock section. The full SBS can be viewed at: www.track-link.com/gallery/10900Thx for watchin. Cheers, Ski.

Respect! As somebody who struggles to make 1:35 figures presentable, I'm full of admiration for people who can achieve the kind of result you're showing us here! One thing does slightly bother me, though: his beard and hair are the same shade of blond, which doesn't really happen IMO. Often the beard would be darker, or, in the case of light blond hair, even have a bit of a ginger tint. Still: karma + 1

Thx Mr. T and leon, thx for the kind words Ma Brothas.
Thx Dierk, appreciate the compliment. The beard, yes I agree. I was dealing with this just before the final and did a slight bit of feathering in the sideburns, etc., but this face was tickin me off, sad to say, and the slight color/tonal differences are not apparent. The face has incredible character, excellent head, I just scotched the pooch.
I'm chalking this one up to experience and moving on, I've kicked my own ars enough over it. Even the eyes are troubling me, after numerous attempts to get it right. I think a line-up of about 5-6 busts in a row would get the mental block cleared. I haven't had a mental block like this in years, so I recon it was due. Oh, woe is me, HA!
Enough of the sniveling, time to "sniff some paint and glue our fingers" together! Thx for the third eye Dierk, good catch.
Cheers, Ski.

Lovely Steve, dont beat yourself up over the eyes/beard, if it was really bothering you you could apply a very thin wash/glaze to add a bit of tone difference to the hair beard area and a slight tint of red to eyes, I myself use Vallejyo Flesh Wash for the eyes this settles in the edges and helps tone down the whites. Now as for you scotching the pooch, if it means you are not happy then put this beauty out of your sight for a while and when you look at again you will see what a great job you have made of it, figure and dock. Well done mate. Dennis

Thx Dennis, good encouraging words. The eyes do have a red rim tint, but my focal point was not on the face, so hence the slight blur in the pic. "I" was not focused when I took these pics, may redo them for posterity sake, lol. I've relegated this one to the curio cabinet, chalked up to experience, so be it.
I'm not too entirely bummed, the trousers came out the way I wanted, just that face. I can do and have done much better. I am my own worst critic, so it's not entirely too unexpected.
Thx again Ma Brotha. Cheers, Ski.

An outstanding figure. Your painting skills are top notch for sure. The face is my favorite part of the build. You have some serious skills my friend.
