It's still too cold to paint out in the garage so I started another kit to keep my bench occupied. This is the Hobby Boss T-40 Amphibious Tank. I nice little kit. I replaced a few rivets that were either malformed, too faint, or erased with sanding. I wanted to build this OOB but have the Voyager PE set on order to replace the kit fenders since they are too thick. The tracks have been the biggest issue. First they are super tiny and have three attachment points per link. They are indy link with no locating nubs so the only thing holding them in position was the glue. I had to stretch and pull to get the last links to join. I used 5-6 fewer links than what they called out in the instructions. Hopefully paint and dirt will deal with any track issues. Every time I use kit plastic tracks I remember why I prefer indy metal ones. The upper and lower hull has not been assembled yet so ignore the gap. I plan to paint it like this example. Note how the headlights are painted over too. Perfect since HB didn't include any clear parts.

It's as if they didn't have a camouflage net but really, really wanted one.

Well done sir
Did it fight you on assembly? The last (and THE last) HobbyBoss kit I did was such a pain I ended up tossing it
Regards, Mark

It's as if they didn't have a camouflage net but really, really wanted one. It was to mimic tank tracks driving thru snow. Mark - No real opposition other than the tracks. It's a pretty small basic kit so there isn't much room for them to screw up.
