When my Wife and I woke up this morning, I asked her what she had done with the cat? She looked at me and said she hadn't done anything with the cat. So we started looking for the cat, I had to take the wife to work, and I assured her that I would continue looking for the cat. I got home and started to leash up the dogs for their morning business, and who is in the kennel sleeping with the dogs? That's right the CAT!! I am so glad the animals all get along. The really funny part was I "asked" the dogs what they had done with the cat, and they looked at me and shook their heads like "nobody in here but us dogs!" meanwhile the cat is burrowed in the blankets sleeping, go figure! Talk more soon, Joel.

That's pretty cool.
Now to add to the "cat tales".... Mine is a Rescue, when I was still a Firefighter, we responded to a fire alarm one nearly afternoon.
BACK STORY= This was during the time, the economy was tanking, and people were actually setting fire to their homes for the insurance money..... For those in the know, it was relatively easy for fire investigators to spot, as well as the crews. USUALLY there was no pictures, no real furniture, no valuables..... they had cleared all the good stuff out before setting the fire. Also the jack-tards would wait before calling 911, to try and ensure total loss. This usually was the clincher...nobody I mean nobody waits to call 911 when their home is on fire.....
So, we enter the home, quickly my crews are starting to extinguish the blaze. As Company Officer, I was doing search. This is when I notice a moving style box kind of bouncing and moving up and down........... Well I said to myself, "boy I got to stop taking drugs before I go on shift"....LOL LOL LOL LOL NO I'm kidding of course...... I signaled the crew, and took the box out to the engine..... When I opened it, low and behold there was a kitten inside. I guess the ASS-HAT home owners figured it would look better to the insurance investigators if "fluffy the kitten" was lost in the blaze. Anyway, we kept the kitten, named him "Jack-a-Lope", and despite departmental guidelines to the contrary he became our station mascot..... move forward about a year, my crew and I are on shift, we respond to what we term as an MVA, car accident. Well we're on scene about 45 minutes or so, when a local police officer I knew pretty well comes over and drops this lil ditty.... "Hey LT, I know you guys are looking to hire more guys, but that's ridiculous", as he points to the cab of the engine. As I start to say, "what in the blue fudge are you talking about", I turn to the engine, and sure enough there is jack-a-lope inside the cab sitting on the dash, just taking in the accident. I figure he was sleeping in the cab at the time of dispatch, and we just never noticed him. Well later when I was completing the Alarm/Run Report, I added his name to the call log. Even added him to the computer......... And trust me, there was more then one question from the chiefs as to WHO IN THE HELL IS Lope, Jack A 0001..... After the dust from that settled he was still the much loved, much spoiled Station Cat.....

Thank you for sharing that PJ! Our cat "Patches" is a rescue also. We had just lost our cat of 17 years Chloe, and the wife said we will wait a while to get another. 3 days later she woke me and said we are going to Animal Control. There we found a little tortoise shell colored furball. The folks at the shelter said you probably don't want her. All she does is run and hide. Patches came to my wife and curled up on her shoulder. And that was all she wrote! Talk more soon, Joel.
