Hello Guys! This post will be for adding detail to Tamiya's venerable PAK 40 gun kit, a kit that still holds up to present molds pretty well so I will be showing what I will add to the base kit to improve it (not for rivet counters I guess?). I bet most experienced modeler's have built this one! I'm just posting the box art, I already built the gun barrel and trunion so I will post images of those soon.... Thanks for watching Paul PS I won't be using the kit's crew, I have other figures for that.

Howdy....first photos....most details will be obvious in the photos but a little description will follow some. Plastic strips added to better define the area, quite often these details get sanded and removed. Bolt heads added to replace the poorly defined kit area. So I did a small amount of assembly then I decided it might be a good idea to post some photos of how I approach adding better (to me anyway) details to a good kit that has decent details to begin with.I find it a fun way to continue your motivation to build better and increase your modelling skills. Thanks for looking..... Cheers, Paul

Another tiny update... I added the missing plate/bolt head to the muzzle break w/plastic card and PE. Paul

Another very small update....trying to improve the look of the gun shield by replacing the front bolts/rivets with some Modelkasten items and adding the bolt head shafts? They are a bit oversize but they were all I have, much better than the originals. Will be working on the carriage soon....sorry 1st image is a little blurry. Cheers, Paul

Thanks Leon! The bolt heads appear a lot larger than they really are, I think the glue adds to the size etc.
