As you may be aware I've been struggling with my mojo for as long time now so I've decide that now is a good time to hang up my airbrush and tidy the bench away Can't put my finger on what has gone wrong, keep thinking I should get back to basics and do what I know best instead of keep tinkering with un tested ventures I really hope this is not a permanent thing and I that I find a reason to build again, so until then chaps I'll just be keeping up to date with the great stuff that's going on on the site

Ian, take the summer off and come back refreshed. Could be you were trying to do too much. I know how that is. I have a full plate at the moment and I too may run out of steam. I will take some time off this summer to relax and come back with new found mojo.
Hope you still hang out here fella, bunch of good people here as you already know.

Cheers guys You may be right with too much on the go at once Rob and I certainly have no interest in anything I've got going at present so it's all being packed safely away

wow mate, again? that's a pitty though, hope you can set things straight maybe you should try my approach: I don't model every day or even every week, just from time to time when I feel like, and in between other things. Makes my builds last very long, I admit that, but during the two and a half years I'm modelling now it worked out for me: no loss of mojo so far ^^ Anywhoo, hope you still stick around from time to time Cheers

Hi Robbo,
I think sometimes we all expect a little too much from ourselves. Modelling has become such an involved and complex affair, which to me leads to much of the frustration, which certainly in my case makes it far to hard to complete a build. building something out of the box these days, seems to be the biggest challenge of all.
The pace of modern life and continual bombardment of information and interaction (i.e. the internet) takes a toal that we dont fully apprecieate, we never switch off and there is very little down time to relax .
My broadband went down last Thursday, took 6 days to get it up and running again. To my shame it was like loosing a member of the family, ohhh what will we do, how will we cope.....but after day 3, you know what it was a breath of fresh air and relaxation was imposed upon us with great results.
Take it easy mate, and kick back for a while. Have another few of those cans like in your avatar and watch the world go by.
All the best,
Chris.

I'm sorry to hear that Ian. Modeling is my "escape" from reality. I don't get to the bench every day, but i do get bogged down now and then. That might explain why I have an untold amount of started projects. They are packed away nice and safe so I can pick them back up when the mood strikes me.
Keep in touch here on the forums, I'm sure you'll find your mojo again soon.

Cheers for the support fellas, I'll make sure I'm on the site frequently.
I have four days off and plenty of time to deep clean my room out, when it's done I might grab a cheap kit, rubber bandies and all, from the loft and do it off site, but this is only a may be.

Thanks Chris.
I'm thinking maybe going back to basics, doing what I know best might help. Doing this off line won't waste anyones time following a blog that never finishes
