Off to a good start John! The late 60's and 70's definitely went a little crazy in the Technicolor World of style, no question.

Cool! How did you make the holes in the panel, for the gauges?

Cool! How did you make the holes in the panel, for the gauges? I've been using a Silhouette Cameo cutter for the last year now. It's changed the way I build models. I doesn't cut all the way through the sheet but it does score it deeply enough to allow you to break the sheet along precisely cut lines. It's also indispensable for cutting masks for painting. An update on this American Independence day: Interior paneling. Home-printed decals with image stolen from Google. This one was a reject. But eventually figured out how to improve the results.

A long overdue update on the Grumman Tiger. I put this one on hold because I couldn’t find large sheets of clear styrene suitable for vacuuforming. But many thanks to Plasticare in Denver who had some of the right material in stock. These are just the first test molds. I’ve decided to change the mold and do the whole turtleback as a single piece and the cut it where needed. Once these compound curves are completed, the remainder of the model should come together much more quickly.

I'm basically in awe at the moment. I've never thought of using my cutter to cut polystyrene. Gives me some ideas. Great!!

And here I was hoping for a Grumman F11F Tiger. 😉 But, yes, that is some seriously impressive scratch building work!
