Yup, outdoor chores, building a oak bookcase for my references, rebuilding a porch swing for my wife, etc. Bench time has been scarce!

Leon,
For me, and me alone I have chosen to "move on". With occasional quick little pit-stops such as this one. My reason has nothing to do with the rank and file. It has to do with being treated like a piece of sheet by one of the administrators. Integrity is a core value and something I believe in...
My two cents

I am still looking most days now that I am back from 2 months overseas. My current project is progressing at snails pace so nothing to report there. Has not been a lot to comment on recently - except of course Dierks tank girl .
One hopes we do not enter the spiral of doom.

I don't frequent as often as I used to simply because I can not view 95% of the photos anymore.

I check in almost everyday. Just not a lot going on right now. gary That's true Gary! Could be its summer to. From ice out till the water ices back up again, I'm usually out fishing at least four days a week, and often seven days a week. It'll get worse once the fall of the year gets here. gary

I'm still here as well. Mojo just inconsistent as ever. The Stryker I've got on the bench is wearing me out.

There seems to be an unknown higher force keeping me away from modeling, though it's my holiday. I'm checking by from time to time here, but I keep commenting to an absolute minimum. And today I drove to the customs office twice(!) to pick up imported modeling stuff from outside EU that I bought via internet.

Mojo is definitly there for me,but sadly in my new apartment, although very nice,no workspace, bench,or display space,.Tools, supplies, stash, and old builds are all in storage until I get a house.

Mojo is definitly there for me,but sadly in my new apartment, although very nice,no workspace, bench,or display space,.Tools, supplies, stash, and old builds are all in storage until I get a house. I'm the same way. I get moving on a project, and the next day get sent to Outer Mongolia! Recently, I've came to the conclusion that I need a new modeling bench. Yet at the sametime I realize I've completely outgrown my fly tying bench. I've decided to fix this problem while letting everything else set still. At the sametime I'm building a new spray booth (maybe two). Now I can work to a couple ten thousandths of an inch, but trust me I can't drive a nail! The good news for me, is that I have two close friends that are seriously into wood working. one is doing the bench and the other is going to build the spray booth. All I need to do is get the materials. So I'm going to build a bench that I can work on models and yet tie flies. By the way, I may be down in your neighborhood sometime in October. Depends on the weather and the cash flow of course. gary

I just got a lot of "stuff" to do, nothing important or note worthy. So have let my email-ery slide a bit. But then so has my modeling.... hum may be if I finished the one on the bench, I could start another and have one in the completed column of the year---WOW what'a concept.

I've been popping back in here for the last few days. Sorry for the absence but it HAS been a busy summer. Man it's been crazy around here.

Hi Leon
Unfortunately, the summer holidays are detrimental to my modelling output & forum time - a week or so away, the kids not going to be bed quite so early as they are off school and SWMBO liking to do things in the nice warm summer evenings OUTSIDE!!!
So don't worry I am still here in fact watch out for some minor progress on a couple of things shortly.

I pop in quite often too but I've noticed a drop in activity here and on another site I visit. No doubt the hot UK summer had an effect, it was great to be outside! Everyone talks about loss of mojo and I know that's my issue too sometimes, I've no idea why that is but it seems very common. Talking with other modellers, some say they are put off posting by the high standard of work on show. Complex large and expensive 'must have' kits are also mentioned as a mojo killer, I know I won't pay £100+ for a kit. Life gets in the way as well, my wife was hurt in an accident so its been hospitals and chores before bench time. Anyway for me, I've moved to 1\72 where the kits are quicker to build and don't cost the earth, but they tend to be ignored on modelling sites by fellow members so I don't post up much. Just my 2 cents

I've been building more these days but try to save all of my updates for the weekend to maximize my time at the bench.
