Since I am new here I thought I'd share the size of my figure. I hope I didn't get you all excited? No, actually my figures I worked last year... ;D When I took those pictures I was still using crappy light bulbs then I changed to photographer bulbs and it worked much better as you can see the difference here... American GI during Korea War... from Dragon set. They went with my Italeri M24 Chaffee... Figures from Dragon for my Dragon Marder II... but with resin heads from Verlinden believe it or not! Another Dragon figures... switched and used LifeColor paint for first time with those. I hope to continue and improve my figure painting so you will find me visiting this section often. ;D

TRM & RossGary- Many thanks! I have painted about 20 figures since my return to the hobby after a long break. I have tried different steps starting with different paints until I found my love LifeColor & Vallejo along with better paint brushes. Maybe you will enjoy this picture I created... For sure I DO NOT miss using paint from Testor & Model Master... LOL I use W&N Series 7 brushes now and they really helps too. I am always open for feedback or free toots how to paint figures better.

Thanks Nate!!! I wasn't sure if I got it right. I am still keen about painting full camo on the uniforms but one day I will have to especially for late-war armors when crews wore camo uniforms. AARRGGHH!!! Appreciate you taking your time to look...

I find it a killer when you see how the figure painters get all the light and shaddow to blend semlessly,

Spud, thanks for the nice words. Always loved doing figure since I was about 10 years old. Following many great WIPs at forums really helped me. I followed Bodge for a long time and many other masters... still long way for me. Still struggling with face painting! Wish all of soldiers wore face paint like Mel... That way it will be easy to paint all faces!!!

I know!!! I watched Braveheart more than 20 times and still never get tired of watching it. LOL
Thanks guys! Yeah Series 7 is expensive but worth every penny... I could see how much it really helps when I first used it.
I will post Chaffee in other thread... it was my fifth build since the return so I was still learning.

Andy i built the Italeri/Testors Chaffee during my learning curve. Cool coincidence. It was the first time i made my own weld beeds, Tarps, and a tiny amount of PE. I also agree on the series 7. Those dont touch anything but a figure. Oh, and you all would love my scottish accent after watching that movie so much. ;D Gary
