Exceptional job on the streaking!

THX Cap! Thank you Joel. The streaking was done pretty easy with a 0,3mm nozzle (Revell Master Plus airbrush) and Mission Model paint (Mitsubishi Cockpit Green over Crocus Yellow). Then very, very quick passes from just a few millimetre distance at around 0,9 bar/13,5 PSI. Just make sure to get really close and go really fast and you'll get something like this:

Nice work and photographing. The rigging at that scale can be especially challenging. I am currently working on the Meng 1/32 with a lot less challenging paint scheme (The Red Barron). Thanks for taking the time to share your work.

I need to get my ass in here and catch up. Sorry fellas! That Fokker looks great Tobi!!! I really need to create a diorama base for my builds so I can bring out the most in 'em like this one here. Great work bro. I'll try not to be a stranger.....this place needs all the help it can get from every member.

A final bit of photo editing, slowly fading... If anybody need to know something specific, just ask. I also got some pictures from the build process.

Holy Smokes!! Turn that prop through and clear that engine. Fire that bad bad bird up! Looks like you could jump in and go looking for Snoopy. Superbly done Tobi! The final pic is the icing on the cake! Looks like it was a very cold March in 1918...

Thank you. Yes, I could imagine that it was a cold March. Last Tuesday evening we had even some snow here and we're just some 500m above sea level.

Love this thread… I learned a lot on the airbrush tips to get that streaking and will have to experiment with that! Beautiful work. Did you brush paint that prop? …would love to know the technique you used to achieved that.

Thank you Emery! Both applies, the propeller is partially airbrushed and then finalized by brush. First some sanding to create the wood grain and then priming. In order to achieve an even laminated look the part is inserted into a self-made jig and sprayed through the louvers. Turn 180° around and repeat. Where the airbrush will not reach the sandwich slices must be completed by brush. A light treatment with Wood Wash From MIG will finish the look. I hope it does get more clear from the SBS below:
