Cool! The tank(?) between the left wheels is a tad too clean for the rest, perhaps?

Could almost be called a barn find. This is a Lindberg truck kit I believe and have heard a "challenge to build". Like the back deck and woodwork, great idea. Suggest some chains across the backside. Cheers

Itsonlyakit, Yes you are correct on the manufacture. There’s strips of styrene in there as gap fillers, putty and epoxy to get the job done. Lindberg has some nice subjects to build…. but I’d be gun shy to part with the cash after that experience.
thanks for a comments

LOL, that was back in around 81 and 82 and I first lived on Surfside Beach then moved into Freeport. Loved every minute of it from what I could remember of it. It was a wild time in my life being young and stupid. Some of the nicest people I've ever met even though they called me a long haired yankee. Not a one of them though wouldn't stop to help me out if I needed it. Even the old Lone Star, Pearl and Buckhorn beer drinking rednecks treated me nice. I'd love to go back sometime. Maybe one of these days I'll make it back to the Great Clute Mosquito Festival!

Ogrejohn…. Seems no matter where on this planet you are, people have an issue with guys having long hair ! I’m 59 now, blessed with a full head of long hair and a big beard. Most of it’s the better part of grey.
People, get past the books cover, the rest of the book might be worth some time.
