And then I have my 1/72 Tamiya F4U-D Corsair that I started in 2016. I hit a wall and put it away. It is high time I finished it up. Love the Corsair. Always reminds me of the TV series "Pazifikgeschwader 214". I think the original title in the US was "Baa Baa Black Sheep"

I've tried a commercial spray booth in the past, but was less than impressed. So it became never part of my working style. I wear protective mask and rely on opening the windows afterwards. Spraying a can of water into the room before airbrushing helps to bind the paint-fog. Shipping may be an issue but, I couldn’t recommend highly enough a PACE! wargamingdropzone.proboards.com/thread/118/pace-peacekeeper-inch-paint-boothI really like the look of those Pace spray booths. If I ever get a larger dedicated space, acquiring one of those bad boys will be top of the list.

2) I had this old AMT kit in my stash for years. When I returned to the bench a couple of months ago, this is the first thing I built to knock dust off. Waiting on some paints to arrive before I go further painting. All your builds under progress are awesome…but that Eagle One is definitely on my radar! …that’s a Bucket List kit for me, it I’ve nit gotten around to getting one yet. I really like the look of those Pace spray booths. If I ever get a larger dedicated space, acquiring one of those bad boys will be top of the list. The one I have is the midsized one…it really has handled any model I’ve worked on to date and works amazing. There’s a good writeup from the guy that makes these, which I haven’t read in a long time but basically (from memory), he worked in the HVAC industry and really knows his stuff on the materials used. It’s solid and well made, and the motor works perfectly. In the picture of my workstation, you can see it doesn’t take a ton of room; I fashioned the foam block to vent out the window, using a dryer hose and outdoor flapper. Whiterook, Holy cow you got a lot going on!!! That Stargate Temple is badass. Thanks! The Huey’s are tiny and will go together quick. I got the tip on the playset from a guy that had a full miniatures game at Origins Game Expo back in 2007 or 08. I’ve a bunch of Stargate SG teams and Jaffa miniatures, as well as System Lords and such all done; I’m working on rules to play Stargate SG1; and working on the diorama battlefield pieces.

Lot's of good stuff going on. Got a couple underway since setting the shop back up 1/48 Tamiya Rufe Mock-up... should have put weight in the front of the float :headslap: 1/20 Tamiya Mclaren MP4/7 back on the bench where I left it months ago And just cracked this one open - did a bit of airbrushing last night

I’ve got three primary projects going on right now. Academy’s 1/35 M981 FISTV Academy’s 1/35 M2A2 Bradley plus a couple shelf of doom projects that I chip away at in between…

Are you gonna to do that 981 in an army livery or Nato? Growing up in the 80’s, Tamiya was the only M113 game in town and it was really dated.

Chad, the M981 is gonna be in Desert Storm colors & markings, and the Bradley is gonna be in OIF1 markings from the drive to Bagdhad. In other words, both will be sand with black markings… 😉

Well now that the Viper is done I have three on the bench right now. The Revell 1/48 Super Hornets (I call them the twins). Still more seam and rescribing work to do. I have the Academy 1/72 A-37 on the bench that's close to doing the decals. And then the Bandi AT-ST that is pretty much done except for the weathering.

Well, on my bench atm is the Fury build I am doing. I am done painting it and now it will sit and wait for my to build the Tiger I that will go with it on the dio. Not likely to get finished this year. I am moving on to a P-51B that just needs some decals and final assembly and off to other unfinished kits.

So, the past week I’ve had family visiting until yesterday afternoon. When I could, I did a few bench session on figures… some building and some painting, and at least this one is almost complete… a buddy from AMPS, Joe Bevens, gave the figures off of his Tamiya HMMWVs that he was not going to use, and I finally have gotten around to this guy for my Academy M998 turtleback armament carrier that I built long ago. The kit figure was not what I needed for a Desert Storm Marine. I still need to do a wash on the guy and dry brushing, but at least now basic colors are done…

Thank you Chad. The “pebbles” are a bit over scale, but they do look ok in in real life compared to these expanded photos.

That's one of my favorite camo patterns... I like to call it chocolate chip camo! You should see my man cave and one of my 'pretend' friends aka my mannequins is sporting that camo. Good work there!

Thanks Andy. That’s what the original six color DCUs actually ended up being called, “chocolate chips”. The later three color DCUs supposedly picked up the nickname “coffee stains”, and while I see the resemblance, I never heard anybody call them by that name.

Thanks Andy! The HMMWV is an old build that I did sometime in the 90’s… I just never liked the included kit figure and finally finished this guy.

The Rufe is ready for decals after several color changes. Wish someone had a definitive color for these "Gray" birds While that is drying I got back on the Hawk Super fun little kit so far. Nice cockpit decals right out of the box. Pin wash, some minor detailing and a flat coat over the decals
