Your efforts are to be commended on this track creading. The details, weathering and figure painting are definitely to be admired.

I love what you’ve done here… the paint work is very nice, indeed! Love the tracks… are those aftermarket, or did they come with the kit? The figures are awesome…it really brings the presentation alive. Great work!

I’ve been meaning to try those out!!! I’ve a couple Tiger I’s I’d like to upscale when I build them. A forum I used to belong to had builders that used them religiously, and they looked phenomenal, as does yours. My understanding is that they are assembled, link by link…even with a special supplied tool? They kinda scare the bejeezus outta me, to be honest!

Fruils are indeed indy link
You get a certian quantity of them with a roll of brass wire to use as the track pins. Usually it's a good idea to drill out the pivot holes in the links because the casting process they use does not always make for a dependable hole all the way thru the link. They will not always fit the kit supplied drive sprockets, and sometimes you'll need to move an idler wheel forward or backward to achieve proper track tension. You'll want to assemble your running gear first and toward the end of a run begin to fit the track because it's not always certian how many links per side you're gonna need. No special tools are provided by Fruil, however all you'll really need is a pin vise and an .018 or so pin drill. Once you've got a run assembled a small drop of CA over the pins hold them in place.
At this point I'll drop the runs in a container filled with vinegar, soak 'em for a couple hours, scrub 'em with an old toothbrush, and wash them off with water. When they dry out I'll color them up with AK track burnishing fluid that gives you a good toothy base for paint, washes or whatever. This sounds complicated but in reality it's mostly just tedious, and as can be seen above it's well worth your extra time.

Very nice T-34 Sir! And I do love my Friuls. In fact, I'll build a model of a tank I have only minimal interest in if Friuls are available for it...

Oh, I like this. Superb T-34/85. Really well done.
I like this so much is because the one and only armor I have ever built is this exact kit. Built it back in the mid 90's. I still have it in my display case. I have considered taking it out and doing some refurbishing on it using new techniques and materials on it. You've given me some food for thought.
Thank You for sharing your cool build creading.
