Looks used, but air worthy. Very convincing result.

This is very nice indeed. Paint and weathering work are near perfect. ICM sure packs alot of details into their kits. I've got an He-111 in 1/48 scale from them and that thing is INSANELY detailed.
Hats off to you for such a snazzy job on this plane creading!!

Thank you all for commenting on the I-153. As stated earlier, a/c are not in my comfort zone to build so your compliments really encourage me.
Cheers, C.

Beautiful build! It certainly doesn’t look like you don’t build planes often.
How did you do the metallic finish?

Thank you for the compliment. As to answer your question, since I don't really build/paint many a/c it was kind of experimental ...... The metal sections of the a/c (cowling etc.) were painted with a rattle can "chrome" When it was thoroughly dry I lightly wet sanded it with 1500 grit. The fabric areas were airbrushed with Tamiya silver with about 40/60 white to silver to tone down the silver somewhat. I was pretty pleased with the way it all turned out. Now I just have to get some 1:48 figures and figure out a diorama base.
Cheers, C.

Cheers, C. I'll be watchin' for that. If it's even half as good as this bird here turned out, it's gonna be a real treat.

Lovely build, the finish is really nice. Your confidence issue must be some form of undeserved defeatism, it doesn't show in this model.
