Hey everyone, here's a 2nd build to look at. I think I finished it in Jan 2021 or so. It's again pretty much straight from the box. I did add the Eduard flaps and some HGW belts. This was one of my 1st dabblings at a plane in quite some time. I've built primarily armor up until 2020 since I was maybe 12 y/o. So we're talking decades of kit and straight up skill advances. Anyway, I had purchased the decal set from Eagle Cals (I believe) but they sucked. They were off register and really unusable. So everything but the stencils is painted. I wanna say that this was the 1st kit I painted using MRP paints. I really like them and they now have a dedicated space in my work area. Weathering is pretty much non-existent cuz I didn't really know what I was doing and didn't want to f-up what I had already accomplished. Also, I really need to figure out a little better backdrop for my photos. Admitted. This is what I have at the moment. I'll post a few new ones if I get it sorted. I've always been curious that I haven't seen this paint scheme more often.

Oh HELL yeah!! Excellent paint work Dave!! The minimal weathering actually brings out more of this birds beauty. I've always loved these aircraft as well as the D series. IMO these are the most beautiful fighter planes ever built. Aside from being aggressive looking, they only back up the looks with some of the hardest hitting power of any fighter back in the day. I'm kind of surprised I don't see this cool a$$ scheme more often myself.

I'm no aircraft modeler myself, but you did a heck of a job there, IMHO.
What can beat the look of painted on markings? Nothing! It's like the real thing.
