I do hear what you're saying in regard to AMT truck kits. I've got the Freightliner in the stash and have built a complete mock up with it. Talk about fiddly and tricky to put together!! I've built a number of AMT car and truck kits and they weren't NEAR that difficult. What you've done with this kit is simply amazing Mark. The build itself is an accomplishment and then you go and do all this weathering and "wear and tear" replication on it and it just throws it over the top. You sir, are to be commended on all counts for this build.

Man, that model brings back memories of my life growing up in Southern Arkansas which is basically one huge big pine tree farm. I have been behind thousands of these trucks loaded down and driving slowly.
Great Job, I can smell the Pine sap from here.

That old mule looks great, these Autocars were made for only one thing…. Move something. No matter how much make up ya slather on it…. She’s still a mule.

More done awhile ago stuff. I acquired the truck kit as well as AMT's Peerless log trailer thinking it would be a simple conversion which it was. The difficult part was assembling the models themselves, not so much the truck but the trailer was ghastly. Playing catch up here, helps increase the trafficLOL a year ago site traffic was an issue! Such a beautiful build and bang on real. I used to see similar setups all the time while visiting my grandparents in Quebec during the late 60's and early 70's.

Thanks gents I thought of mudding up the frame and running gear but decided rust and dust would be better
