Hello to you folks on the board. I recognize quite a few of you folks here.
My interest in building, range from Cars, (Racing) boats (racing) and some military track vehicles, mostly the vehicles that I had any affiliation with in the Army.
Planes are a fun subject also. I mostly like WWI & WWII planes. I hope to jump in here soon as I'm working on a Marty Robbins racecar right now.

Hey reserve....Thanks for the welcome.
If you attended any of the IPMS show's at Renton or the 2013 IPMS Nationals at Colorado, we might have bumped into each other. My wife and I also attended the 2018 IPMS Nationals in Phoenix. Maybe it was one of those.

Hey Gary… welcome aboard! Great to see another modeler in the fold and I can’t wait to see the race car, and all the other kits you work on.
…oh, and Ski… “Green Grass and High Tides Forever” was my high school graduating classes theme song! …that dates me!

LOl, no prob on the song… southern rock, which wasn’t everyones’ bag…I aimed that comment at Steve, from his post above. I had really liked southern rock back in the late 70’s, so it was cool with me that my high school class picked it as their theme song. What did you play? I was a percussionist from 1973-2000, in drum & bugle corps…I taught and ran percussion lines in different corps fro 1984-2000… if you can hit it, I can teach you how to hit it effectively, hahaha

I started in grade school in 1958. Did marching band from 58-68. Started my own rock band in 66. Love southern rock. Made a living playing Country, Country Rock, Southern Rock and anything in between I just put the sticks down about a year before COVID. Had a GREAT kit collection. Had 5 kits. Sold 3. OK...what band played that song? You got me going here..

Green Grass and High Tides Forever was a super popular song by my favorite of all Southern Rock bands, The Outlaws! …got to see them in concert once or twice. Great group! Not sure I even have any of their Al plums anymore… been a long time since I spun a record, though I refuse to let my record player go! I taught drum & bugle corps for near 20 years, from major Drum Corps International to small corps… what is called a Percussion Caption Head, which means I developed the drumming program, wrote the drum music, and lead/taught with some Assistant Instructors. Toured the US and Canada. Great times!!! …all while working full time jobs, mind you, lol. I put the sticks down in 2000, so not sure where my chops are. These days, I’m trying o teach myself acoustic guitar… badly, so far.
