Farm Trucks

A couple years back, I was having a conversation with my dad about old times... memories... stories (some true. some a tad embellished). During the conversation an old man's name came up that I hadn't thought about for years. The only thing I remembered about the old man was his truck. It had at one time been green, but had turned into a rust bucket over the years. I had been looking for ideas how to build the '41 chevy in my stash. I decided to use his old chevy as inspiration...

What that turned into was a theme for the whole summer. I pulled out a kit of almost every chevy truck I had and built them as they would have looked in my small town during my childhood.

Even built one with a tad lower stance...

These look rough, but so good to me. They are some of the kits I'm most proud of and share them every chance I get.

Reminds me of childhood and simpler times in my small little town... As always, thanks for looking.

I remember these Jeremy! What a cool collection of "beaters"! I've gotta get me one of those 1980's C10 trucks as those are just some awesome looking trucks to begin with and with the results you've got it's making me want to build one.

I've built a couple these now.. decent kit for it's day. 

I got so into trying to make these, now when I look at a kit to build it's not only about what color I want now... I have to decide now if I want slick or dirty lol.
