Rommel Fast Attack Cruiser

I participated in a scratchbuild group build many years ago, and I decided to hack a Star Wars, At-At Walker into something totally different!



I decided to make a cruiser out of it, using the main body and bits from the kit and plasticard. I was looking for something along the lines of battle cruisers you see in shows like Babylon 5 and Stargate SG1. At the last moment, I decided to add some decals from a German biplane kit and armor kit, and dedicated it to Rommel. I placed it on a piece of scrap wooden rod, set into the base that came with my USS America Aircraft Carrier.















I exhibited it at an IPMS show, and to my amazement, won a bronze medal! 





It was a fun build and a new challenge in scratchbuilding, which I strongly recommend everyone try at least once.

I've gotta say that you win in the imagination department on this one Emery. I would have never thought of that idea but you pulled it all off without a hitch. Congratulations on the Bronze win!!! NICE!!!!!
