Prototype aircraft anyway so unless one of the people that were there to build it come and say it is wrong I am good with it.

There's one heckuva lot of detail in this one Tony. These are some of the best-looking seaplanes out there (right up there with the Kingfisher) and this one came together VERY well. I haven't seen alot of folded wing 196's built which puts this one in the extraordinary department. This is something to be most definitely proud of.

Wait until you see what is going to happen to that BF109E kit I just got cheap. What could have existed if the Graf Zeppelin (anybody that doesn't know what that was just hit Wikipedia) had been completed gone operational so they needed to cram more BF109Ts inside?

The exhaust pipes look extremely realistic. Which colors did you use and how did you weather them?

The exhaust pipes look extremely realistic. Which colors did you use and how did you weather them? I use the vallejo rust set for everything. Base coat of gloss steel, then two or three of the rust effects all done while each is still wet. Keep it uneven but blended together. Then a coat of tinted black Future to highlight and next a wash of a Citadel shad overcoat sort of darkish brown figure paint (some Dwarfish name I can't remember) and finish it up with a spray of dullcoat. If I want crusty I will add some rust pigments while the Future is still wet. The trick is to not have any distinct lines between the rust shades so it all blurs together. Sounds like a lot of steps but since you are doing most while everything is still wet it actually only takes about 10 minutes. Ahhh there is the wash I use
