Wow, first post on these sub-boards here!
Here's my latest finished model. This was for a Micro Model Month campaign on another Forums, where you had to build a small scale model during the month of March from the first to the thirty-first. I managed to complete one; this is the 1/72 scale Hobby Boss Russian URAL-4320 cargo truck: I apologize for the pics, they suck eggs! This sure looks better in person. Man, I need to find my camera!

You are a prolific builder!!! Nice build in a small scale.
What did you use to give the vehicle the dusty effect?

Thank you CD! The dusty effect came from Tamiya weathering powders. I wet them down with a brush, thin the moist mix and then brushed it on the model. After it dried, I wiped off everything on the surfaces to get the dust in the nooks and crannies. Some of it even stayed on the wiped surfaces, giving it a slight faded effect.
Thank you Joe! My camera has been missing for five months now. I thought tearing apart my hobby room to add new shelves would reveal it but so far no go. Man this is the ultimate in frustration!

This is a cool little build! I love what you’ve done with the kit, and on such a short timetable! …I love those kind of challenge builds! These weathering powders and distressing mixtures are something I really need to look into! …when I got back into the hobby a little more than a decade ago, I was introduced to modelers using airbrushes (…just not a thing I knew of in the 70’s’) ans what they could do with Tamiya paints to ‘dust up’ their builds. Seems nowadays, there’s a product for almost any kind of weathering you want to do!
