Not so much as a 'work in progress' as it is a 'push across the finish line'. Until this:
This is what happened after removing the Tamiya tape after masking/spraying the trim. The clear coat is Tamiya X-22 which had been drying for 10 days - including time in a dehydrator. At first I thought it was glue residue but the tape actually reacted with the clear. Two thoughts came to mind: pitch in the trash or sand it down. I'm relatively new to airbrushing, however this was the best candy paint job I'd done to date and I wasn't about to give it a purple bath. There were at least 10 coats of X-27 Clear Red so I wasn't too concerned about sanding and burning through the paint. A number of hours later it was flat and dull and ready for some fresh clear. In the end, there were so many layers of paint on the body that I couldn't add panel liner to the hood grills to blacken the recesses and the rear script was barely raised for dry brushing. However, this build was supposed to be all about the paint job. I'll post some final images in the Under Glass section when I get 'er done.

I'm almost crying looking at it. I've had a couple of paint jobs challenge me like this but I'm like you.....I don't think I could put this one in the paint stripper either. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this bud.
