Hi Guys !
This is more my usual type of build i guess, Ive loved lowriders since i was a kid, Revells 1964 Impala kit ...
The passenger door was cut open, hinged and door surrounds made up. Smooth firewall , chromed. Removed inner wings. Walk-through created from the back seats to the boot. Scratchbuilt interior, Fur and mirrored dashboard, seats, door panels, floor and bonnet/boot lid linings. Most of the suspension chromed, or replaced with new chrome pieces. Engine wired and plumbed. Pegasus wire wheels. Lots of Bare Metal Foil ! !
Paint is straight Tamiya `Chrome` yellow and cleared !

The first time I ever saw this build I dang near got blown out of my seat. Fabulous display of graphic paint work and detail Martin. Everywhere one looks there is something good to see. A true treat to the eyes buddy and thanks for sharing this beauty.

Beautiful work and really captures the Lowrider vibe. Hard to believe that this build and my bone stock convertible both started out life as the same basic kit!

I have another kit that I may do the OOB Lowrider version of. Like you I would not be going the extra mile like this build though.

Chevelles, early sixties Impalas, loads of old Mopars, early Mustangs everywhere you looked. Most were 10 years or more old and beat to crap since at that point they were just used cars. The smell of bondo and primer from that parking lot still lingers in my brain! I didn't go out shopping for a '64 Impala SS it just happened to be for sale at the right price (read as "cheap") when I wanted to buy a car.
