It looks interesting how that panther only has one steel wheel. Like some kind of field modification. I love dragon artwork.

Perry, I SWEAR it was a complete coincidence! Yeah I know that sounds as convincing when young John Connor made the Terminator swear he would not kill anyone. Oh, there is a Panther GB going on?
Chad, you have sharp eyes. I did not notice the oddball roadwheel until you mentioned it. This particular boxing has all sorts of optional parts, including zimmerit hull parts and IR optics.

Those Airfix Grants and Lees are as rare as hens teeth! But I’ve been told they really are good kits, especially in their time. I found the Lee kit back in the late 80's. I think it was better detailed than the Monogram Lee and Grant kits. Before then, I had no idea that these kits existed. I had only seen and built the Sdkfz.250 kit that they made at the same time.

Always wanted one of those Maultier HT but they are hard to find at model shows now. My plan is to add aircraft anti-gun to its bed one day!

Expect a call from an angry wife at any time! Lol So, when I bought the BR 52, I bought four of the Voyager detail sets for it. There’s a fifth set that actually replaces the entire cab with photo etch. That’s above my skill level though! 😄🍻

They are pretty rare on the secondary market. Sprue Brothers just received a rare shipment of them, each one contains a figure set at no additional charge. I’m sure once they’re gone though, that’ll be it. 🫤

Bought a couple Maultiers and a couple more locomotives. These additions will be my final kit purchases this year. More projects for 2024! This time next year, I’ll buy my projects for Nice kits! I've build that maultier kit (actually there is an old thread here) and there is few things to look up when building. Dragon has made some errors in fittings and instructions.

These guys followed me home. They were on the shelf screaming "Build us, build us for the Emperor!". I couldn't just leave them there. This just showed up from UPS. Wasn't that nice of them?

Nice kits! I've build that maultier kit (actually there is an old thread here) and there is few things to look up when building. Dragon has made some errors in fittings and instructions. Why am I not surprised to hear that! 😄 Yea, typical dragon Everything can go wrong from step 1, as instructions points you to start building frame from normal blitz parts, not maultier version. I learned that hard way and had to disassemble frame. Second thing to notice is you need to move drive sprocket axle back, because tracks will hit the running board. 3rd thing is that tracks don't fit the drive sprocket.. Here is the build blog where you can see those problems with pics. modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/thread/6555/opel-maultier-completed

Geez, I’ll watch out for that. Thank you for the heads up. 🙏

Nice haul there....it's amazing how somethings make you buy them and others turn up for no apparent reason.....most mysterious! Good evening all Firstly sincerest apologies for not being around much this week. Just couldn't find the time somehow. So the follow have turned up in the past couple of weeks...... The tow cables are for my current and some other long stalled builds. I actually managed to get these half price (incl. p&p) because of a load of loyalty points I have with the vendor. The odd thing is that both the StuG and Pz IV versions come with an odd number of eyes for no obvious reason....3 in one case and 5 in the other but only three cables between them rather than four....and that's how they come, they're not faulty sets.... This Eduard forced itself into my eBay basket.....it's from a retailer I have used on a number of occasions and for some unknown reason he is currently selling new kits at ridiculous prices.....cheapest 'normal' price in the UK for this is £29 delivered.....this cost me just over £17.....delivered....40% cheaper. It would of course have been rude not to! I'm still not sure why I bought this as I already have two perfectly good - if not deluxe - ABs but I think I have got a good deal. These are a new company (apparently Chinese made) but only available on Amazon's US site. I first saw them on a UK YouTube channel called Gary's Stuff ( HERE) but the US' Barbatos Rex also reviewed them ( HERE)....and they both raved about them. Initial thoughts are impressive: - Very nicely packaged although it got a bit creased when it was forced through the letter box ;
- Nice set of instructions, including a full parts list in diagram form;
- Each AB is tested before it leaves the factory and they include the test card (gimmicky??);
- 0.35mm and 0.5mm needles/nozzles;
- Seals are PTFE, not rubber;
- Two different size screw in paint cups (1/4 and 1/2 fl. Oz [7mm and 14mm)], both with lids;
- Whilst these cups are very large, the AB can be used without them if you have a small amount of paint due to its design; you can just drop it into the hole;
- Apparently the needle is made of 'spring/springy' steel that makes it less prone to being damaged (see c. 6:30 on Barbatos Rex video).....will have to see how that works;
- They do seem to be very nicely built and not at all cheap;
- They come with a quick release attachment, lube and spare seals;
- but what really got my attention was that it has one of those compression fit, self-centering nozzles that you don't have to screw in and risk stripping the thread on - just like the Iwata Eclipse SBS, albeit a different shape.
The Gary's Stuff channel has arranged a 20% discount via Amazon, which wiped out the tax I had to pay and so even with the $9 delivery it only cost me £45.
If it's as good as they say, then I can see this making a really good entry level AB for the novice....but I still can't quite work out why I bought it....
I might do a mini review after I've used it a bit. ATB Andrew

I know what you mean Chad.....it was like I was being force to press buy me...and sop I felt obliged to do so and thereby help them lead a fulfilling existence! As for the reviews - very good indeed. I know the 'Disadvantages' section Hyperscale reviews, which even for very good kits normally have one or two minor quibbles, are empty.....every single time....really looking forward to building them. £17 for an Eduard Profipack kit?! That’s indeed a giveaway! Nice!
The airbrush looks interesting as well… always a learning curve with any new one of those…

AB does look interesting supposedly has an improved airflow design to help with atomisation of the paint but will see.

Ok....so today is Father's Day here in the UK and the below is what I woke up to! Although she is still at school, Junioress has a very good part time job and so she gave me a very generous budget for this year, along with some help from Junior. Whilst some of it is run of the mill, I used most of it to treat myself to things I could not ordinarily justify - two examples being the Churchill tracks and the box in front of the Zero, which is a long out of production (and not cheap) resin upgrade set for my 1/72 Halifax bomber. I also used it as an opportunity to get some of AK's 3rd Gen paints, which I have heard great things about. I have to stick to water based paints as my set up is in the kitchen, ruling out lacquers! All in all I'm very pleased with haul...........not least the giant bar of Toblerone! Oh and wasn't it nicely presented too!
