I've heard nothing but good things about these kits about how nicely they build up and all the details that are included in the box and you sure exploited that with this build Matt. Beautifully built, detailed and painted up and is truly worthy of a top shelf position in the display case. You've been a busy guy since the last time I saw you dude.

GREAT job Matt! Love almost all the WWI and WWII aircraft....especially the spitfire and P-51. The P-40 and Corsair is right in there too.

Joe - the kit is very good, the only tricky spot was the top cowl over the engine. I had to apply a fair amount of pressure to get a good fit w/o any gaps. It was a fun kit to build. The other challenge is getting the camo pattern right since the Brits used templates to paint each aircraft for a high degree of uniformity. Much less room for "artistic interpretation" than in the Luftwaffe birds. |

Matt That's really turned out very nicely indeed. Really very good. Since Christmas I've acquired a 'number' (aka too many) Eduard 1/48 kits, including a Mk IX Weekend Edition (different markings to yours). Not built any yet but they do look very nice on the sprue. Again well done. Andrew |
