Today I completed a small model. I made this model for a long time (four days). 1/43 scale. Manufacturer of AVD-models. Die cast, PIPE and plastic. OOB.
The APPA-4 apron road train was developed in the early 1970s on the territory of the Riga Civil Aviation Plant No. 85. The passenger semi-trailer was installed on the ZIL-130V1 tractor.
Serial production began in 1973. It was intended to transport passengers from the terminal to the aircraft ramp, or vice versa. The APPA-4 semi-trailer had a low floor (350 mm). For the purpose of convenient passenger boarding, the semi-trailer was equipped with four doors. The APPA-4 cabin was equipped with a special control panel for the entrance doors. They could be opened in two ways: individually, or all four at once. In total, the semi-trailer could accommodate 110 people.
There was no stove in the cabin. It was used in all airports of the Soviet Union.
