Tamiya 1/35 Sdkfz. 222

This was my last German WWII AFV kit that I completed a few years ago, Tammy's 1/35 Sdkfz. 222. This was the boxing that came with PE screens and a metal gun barrel. I added some interior detailing and swapped out the kit's continental commander figure for a Tri Star DAK figure. I painted the vehicle as when the 5. Light Division arrived in Libya in early 1941 and the crews used mud to cover the Panzer Gray paint.

I dang near missed this one in the shuffle but am DEFINITELY glad that I took a second look at the posting list. First off, congratulations on the win as it was WELL deserved Carlos. What's not to love about this?? All the way from the build quality to the paint and weathering. Fantastic results buddy.

Gary & Joe, thank you. Now the fun part to say is that this was a speed build. It was built in a 12 day space, and I did multiple upgrades within that timespan.
Gary, all I can say about the OC IPMS crew, like old Rodney Dangerfield would say, “tough crowd, tough crowd”. There were several world class modelers in that crew. Nobody nearsighted, just some great mentors.
