The next installment of my small scale bomber fleet Still needs a base. I'd planned on putting it on a mirror but it's too short, not enough light can get under it so that idea's scrapped. I also had no idea I'd have to weight the nose, hence the tape dispenser holding the tail up. I'll have to come up with something clever to fix that. I had the Revell 1/48 scale version of this bad boy as a kid. WHAT A BEAST of a model that was. Got it for Christmas when I was 15 or so and never built it. I don't know how much that model was back then but I know it wasn't cheap by any means. This is more the scale that I would build it in nowadays. Man you did a SUPERB job on this one Mark!! Beautiful painting and masking work bro.

Thanks brother
That Revell kit was legendary as one of the most difficult models to build up ever molded as well as being gigantic when done. I see them on E-Bay occasinal for $250+ if I recall correct

The Bone! Probably the sleekest, most beautiful bomber that has ever flown. That is another excellent build Reserve! Bravo! 🍻

Nice looking B-1, well done in that scale. I'm a little surprised that it's a tail sitter with the wings forward, but the lady does have a good sized derriere. Somehow I've accumulated 4 of the 1/48 kits, one was given to me by a friend who decided he wasn't going to build it. When I built a display case I designed it to be big enough for the B-1 in 1/48. It holds a Monogram B-36 without breathing hard.

Thanks gents S I agree, one of the most attractive AC ever flown J you have my respect in spades for tackling the Monogram B-36...even if I had space for one I'm not sure I'd do one My solution to the tail heavy problem a 30 caliber 150 grain bullet glued into the front bomb bay. I should have put fins on it and called it a bomb. I finished this today, will post it on the Completed board

Fantastic looking small scale Bone Mark. Super clean build. Cool that you can actually see the cockpit and you didn't just black out the glass. Yup, I also love the sleekness of the B-1. Just looks B.A. Is this the Minicraft kit?

Thanks gents the quality of the kit helps and this one's a gem
Joe this is the Academy kit. It features great fit, engraved panel lines, a transparent canopy, great detail for such a small scale. They even give you die cut canopy masks with the kit, there's not much not to like with this one

Fantastic fix brutha, Bones are so cool. I have the 48th scale. Need to revisit available belks and whistles for it, PE turkey feathers, metal gear. I may build it gear up and donate it to my Vet Center here in Spokane. Awesome bird good sir.

Thanks gents
T perhaps one could but as one can't see in there and it's now stuck on the base it's a moot point. I'll just have to remember to add weight on the next one
