Very nice figures. All posed in realistic settings. Congratulations.

Outstanding work on all figures! I am glad I didn't miss this thread. I really like the first one... the USMC sharpshooter... who makes it?

Thanks - been a while since I've done a larger figure. Not positive on the devil dog, but I was really into Jaguar kits at the time.

The grizzled veteran of the 24th Foot reminded me that despite being depicted as an old campaigner by Nigel Green in the movie "Zulu" (recently on TV and therefore fresh in my mind), Colour Sergeant Frank Bourne was only 23 years old at the time of the action at Rorkes's Drift, and outlived Hitler (dying the day after VE Day). Other notable misrepresentations were Alfred "Harry" Hook, in actuality a teatotaler, preacher and a recipient of good conduct pay; his daughters were so appalled by his portrayal by James Booth they walked out of the premier of the movie. Similarly, Assistant Commissary James Langley Dalton was not the rather ineffectual figure depicted by Dennis Folbigge but a retired former soldier with great experience and who helped lay out the improvised defences before taking a leading role in the defence of the hospital.
Regards,
M

Great history bits. I think of this figure as more of an Isandlwana battle guy and he's seeing Durnford's collapse of the right flank!
