This was my first WWI biplane build in probably close to 40 years. It’s the Glencoe release of one of the ancient Aurora boxings. The only improvement that Glencoe made to those molds was to remove the molded on decal locator lines. And the kits did come with a very nice decal sheet. aside from rigging with .010” music wire, and adding some reinforcement wire inside as a spar for the lower wing, this kit was built with what came in the box. I had to pose it with my Camel when I completed that one more recently

Why have you been hiding this one, Carlos? Very nice looking. Was there actually an Albatros in that scheme? If not there should have been.

So I looked in one of my books and found the same photo, Carlos, with an interesting caption. The book is"Austro-Hungarian Army Aircraft of World War One".

Interesting the way life (of model building) goes. You get a Glencoe (known for stick and tissue kits) and They acquire and release and old plastic kit of a real stick and tissue (well linen) air o plane. It all causes the dust motes in front of my eyes to spin now. p.s. great job of building and painting the old kit.

Many thanks guys! It’s a challenging kit, but fun in its own twisted way. Thanks for looking in and your kind feedback.
