Some random Luftwaffe builds.

Hello my friends! Here are some random Luftwaffe builds over the last couple years, and one not so Luftwaffe. This years been a very slow year for modeling but I’ll definitely start posting some WIPs soon. I look forward to looking at everyone’s fantastic builds.

I am ALWAYS down for Luftwaffe builds Chad. Do you have any more photos of that He-111? You got it ALL going on in this thread, A 111, a couple of well built 190's, a Stuka and even some birds!! I really like what you've done with the camo schemes on the aircraft and LOVE what you did with the two birds buddy. VERY entertaining stuff here.

Oh man. All of those are quite spectacular. Remarkable painting on every one of your subjects. I feel that your light weathering touch on your Luftwaffe birds is really nicely done. Just right in fact. And your birds are beautifully painted and a very refreshing subject. All in all, a righteous example of your skills and talent. Thanks for sharing Chad.

I sure do.  The 1/72 Airfix He111 is a gem of a kit!  Highly recommended.

Oooh! The He111 is in 1/72. That's even better. I have heard very high accolades concerning that kit. You have done it justice my good sir.

Incredible work, one and all. I love those birds! The weathering and camou liveries are beautifully rendered. If you can show more of the other models, it would be appreciated.

That 111 looks GREAT Chad. What gets my attention is the clean canopy/ window masking that you did in this scale. It's the one thing that makes.....or breaks these smaller scale builds and you pulled your window outcomes off very nicely. Paint and weathering just bring her across the finish line dang near flawlessly. Thanks for sharing those extra pics with us bud.

Geez, I'm getting the sense that I may need to check out some Airfix kits in the future... I had never considered them as I always got the impression that they were sub-par. Seems that is not the case these days. You've done a wonderful job on these. Of course I'm partial to the 190's as I've built a few myself, but they all look great. What kits (including scale) are the others besides the He-111? Eduard A6? Tamiya A3?

Oh you’ve got to do yourself a favor and pick up a new Airfix kit. They’re light years away from what they were. If you like Luftwaffe fare, you’ll really like the 1/72 or 1/48 Ju87’s. So the 190 in standard livery is the 1/48 Tamiya A3, the white camo 190 is an Eduard 1/48 A4, and the Ju87 is 1/48 Airfix, highly recommended!

Great stuff. Love the birds or Vogel for this thread. Is that one of the Airfix kits? I have the bullfinches in the stash.

Yes those are the Airfix Blue Tits. They take a lot of work but the result is so worth it.
