You're making rapid progress on this project Chad! Won't be too much longer before you have it all completed at the rate you're going now. Lol This one feels like it’s been going on forever. Maybe I’m just excited for the next build.

Yeah that happens… instead of pushing forward past the point of diminishing returns, deciding this is good enough, finishing up, then move on to the next one.

Maybe I’m just excited for the next build. That's usually what it is Chad. I've been on my Corvette now for longer than I've wanted to be but that's partly due to outside distractions. I'm definitely wanting to get back on my Kingfisher build and like you....it seems that the car has been taking forever. This is some very good progress out of you and I look forward to each and every update. Don't rush now bud as you've done an amazing job of bringing this beast to life all through the build.

This is a beautiful build, I really like subdued weathering.

Well Chad, I hope in the end, that you can be satisfied with the time investment as it is translating into remarkable results. The weathering is excellent. I applaud you for sticking with it to the finish. It is well worth it.

Tell me about it! And it was the dumbest mistake. I was literally at the point where I was ready to set up the work workstation to take pictures and I was reaching for some thing, and when I brought my hand back whatever I had in my hand caught the antenna and pulled the entire kit on the hardwood floor.

Yeah, that's definitely the harshest way to end a project. I feel for ya, man. At least we have pictures and a lot of great info from the journey. But ouch!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Man Chad..........I am SO sorry to hear about that!! There's hardly a worse feeling that someone can have to have gone through all of what you did with this one and then have this happen. Like Dave said.....I feel for you. I've had mishaps like that while putting a gloss coat on my 2017 Camaro, had the perfect finish and was on the way to the drying booth when the whole body fell off of my paint stand and fell onto the carpeted floor and landed on the roof. Pretty much had to start over on that one.
Hang in there my brother. Hopefully, after the pain of this one subsides a little you'll put this beauty back together again?

Oh man bummer Chad! But maybe there's a possibility??? Something like I’m seriously considering that. Some thing more of a landmine strike rather than a shell. I like that picture too. I am going to start an armored car after I’m done with my current project.

I HATE it when that happens. That is so much work shattered in a split second. Unfortunaley for me I usually know EXACTLY what I'm doing when one of mine meets with disaster. Still sucks. I do like the idea of a salvage project....could be a fitting resurection.

Horribly frustrating but none of that looks unrepairable.

Horribly frustrating but none of that looks unrepairable. with some drilling and brass rod pinning most of it can be fixed... not sure if all of it can be repaired though

NOOOOOOOO!!! So sorry it happened! I think it can be repaired... a lot of drilling and inserting metal pins to hold those damaged wheels. Or it's a perfect candidate for wrecked Panzer or being stuck on side of a deep ditch filled with dirty brown water?

Thank you my friends for the kind words and the superb suggestions! I’m just gonna put it in a box and save it for another day. I really like the idea of the vehicle partially in a muddy ditch. I’ll work on some water effects to make a nice diorama one day.
