This is by far the most complex model I have ever built! The Perfect Scale conversion is amazing! I took the route of using an early Eduard slat set that was designed for the Tamiya 2A6. It doesn't fit the Hobby Boss/Perfect Scale kit used here!! This is why various sections are missing from the hull - but it gives it more character as the real vehicles were always damaging their slat sections against the scenery. Real Model now have dedicated slat sets for whichever kit you are working with. If I'd waited, life would have been oh so much easier:-) If you are interested in following the back story, please go here: www.network54.com/Forum/110741/thread/1299944232Potentially, there are some extra details I could add such as the emergency chords on each and every slat armour mount, but I want to retain some sanity:-) The list of parts is quite extensive: Hobby Boss Leo 2A6M CAN Perfect Scale Modellbau Leo 2A6M CAN Barracuda conversion Perfect Scale Modellbau Leo 2A6M CAN upgrade Eduard 2A6M slat set (with a second used set very kindly donated by Vasco Vaz after I messed up!) Turret top ECM boxes very kindly donated by Miloslav Hraban of Real Models Turret stowage baskets and muzzle from Tamiya 2A6 Aerials from BMK Bottles from Real Models Various brass detail parts from Eduard, Lion Roar (grilles), Voyager (commander's sight) Stowage from Tamiya/Real Models and Maple Leaf Models Resicast headlight 3.5mm lenses Dental floss! Acupuncture needle! I hope you like it!! There isn't much Hobby Boss in this - only the lower hull and running gear. Eduard slat mayhem! Bits of green that will show through holes in the Barracuda. NATO camouflage added on the upper surfaces - only to be covered in a layer of dust!

Lovely work as always Mike!
Not ready skill, patience, or sanity-wise to attempt slats -but maybe sometime....

Dicky - In my opinion, the Black Dog set is too regular and the semi-circular patterns are too big. The Perfect Scale conversion - though expensive - is far more to scale and random, much more like the real thing. Cromwell also do a set but I've never seen it so cannot comment on it.
Thanks for all your comments guys Cheers Mike

Great job Man, I don't follow modern armor that much, but this is really impressive!
