Tamiya 1/48 F-16C 149th FW

Well ladies and gentlemen, from the photo booth at the carnival in the mall parking lot, I give you the completed F-16C Viper Heritage Jet of the 149th FW. This was finished a couple of weeks ago. Not 100% happy with it but it's not horrible. When I unmasked the canopy, there was a blemish inside the already glued down canopy.

Thanks but there were some mistakes on it that I couldn’t fix before the show. And there were a ton of great builds. One of the jets in the 1/48 single engine jets made “Best Aircraft”.

First off, this is one swell build Mike. I do love me some F-16's and that's some VERY good work on that camoflage!! Sorry to hear about the canopy blues and I know what that feels like. I usually spend between 5-8 months on a build and to have something like that happen at the very end of a build is dang near catastrophic for me to the point to where I'll go out and buy another kit to make it right.

You've done well on this one despite the canopy issues.

I forgot to tell you guys. The Viper got mentioned on the Plastic Posse Podcast. They were talking about builds that they liked from their Facebook group and someone said my Viper. They even pronounced my last name correctly.

That's awesome Mike! And it's always a plus when folks don't butcher names and it's one of my pet peeves. I've done it ....but it's rare.

Excellent build Mike. I’d be extremely proud to have that in my collection. You absolutely nailed the camo paint. I’ve had my canopy problems in the past. We’ve all been there. Thanks for posting this

I completely missed this build when I browsed the forum posts when I first joined. Great build! Once again proving my thought that everything looks good in SEA camouflage.

I’m getting ready to paint mine in this scheme, but it will have an AK tail code, just to be different. 331 was sent to the 354th Wing at Eielson AFB, AK last June and kept the camouflage scheme.

Mike, this build was slightly before my time here and one I haven’t seen yet. I always love it when these pop back up. Evidently I missed it when it got pulled back to the top too. Awesome work on this one. Great camo
