Not too long ago I picked up some Mig Ammo acrylics for usage on painting figures and similar small items. When I used the paints, the dried with a semi gloss finish. Is this normal for those paints? I had shaken the paints quite thoroughly (for several minutes) using my paint shaker device, so I don't believe that mixing is the culprit. The machine mixes my Vallejo quite thoroughly and I get a dead flat finish with those. So, 1, do the Mig Ammo Acrylics dry semi gloss all the time? And 2, has anybody tried mixing in Tamiya Flat Base to counteract the semi gloss finish successfully?

I use Ammo almost excusivly, yes they do seem to dry to a semi gloss even out of the airbrush. I have brushed using a wet pallete and that seems to tone the shine down abit, HAVE NOT mixed any flattening agent in yet. The seperate flat coat that is offered in the larger bottle dries dead flat. That is an extra step however. I have noticed that Ammo seems " soft" even after days of drying, not sure why that is.

Thanks Armor... I used something of a dry palette, so Ill keep the wet pallet in mind for the next time.
