Hi all So I was in London today for a small industry conference. It was hosted by a big London law firm, which is based in 20 Fenchurch Street aka 'The Walkie Talkie' building. We were on the 31st floor which meant we got a great view across London and some views of HMS Belfast and The Tower that most people never get. My colleague and I then went for a short walk after the conference and so there are some more conventional shots of her. The vessel moored alongside HMS Belfast was flying the Finnish flag. London is a great city. I loved London and I will not hesitate to return and do a side trip to Bovington tank museum next time! Thanks for sharing the pictures as it brought back good memories celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary with my wife many years ago.

Hi Andy If you want to have a good long look around the museum then personally I would avoid Tankfest weekend....unless you go for two days...or even all three, which includes the set up day! There is just not time to have a good walk around the museum and take in the arena too, and all the side stalls and events. We're very lucky in that we only about 3 1/2 hours away. It's becoming a bit of a son/dad thing for Junior and I. This is actually the 3rd year on the trot we have gone down for it. We book into a cheap hotel about 45 minutes away, spend the day and the drive back home afterwards. A mate and his two kids are also joining us. We also went in 2018 as a family. I've got a load of Flickr Albums, which I'll share with you all in due course, which includes all the Tankfests! ATB Andrew |
