Well, since this part of the forum is still fairly empty, I’m gonna start correcting that. I’ll start with a later version of the first Soviet postwar tank design the T-54. This is an early Trumpeter release, made with some unknown plastic that did not work well with most styrene model cements. I ended up using Tenax to build this kit, as that was the only glue that I had hot enough to work. Due to the kit being motorized, the hull is way to tall, so I went back later and shaved a good 1/3” or so off of the height to make it a bit more accurate. The tracks are sup stiff vinyl, and I ended up epoxying them to the road wheel tops to get something that looks vaguely how the tracks on a T-54/T-55 should look. I painted this with Tamiya paints and used the kit decals for PAVN tank during the 1972 “Easter Offensive”.
