Don’t know if this would be acceptable on a “ plastics “ site…. she’s scratched built - 36” o.a.l - R/C fitted - close to 20 lbs in weight - 7.2 volt - single screw - and awaiting maiden voyage or sinking if not accepted on site, junk it, she almost got the fireplace a few times during the build.

It’s a model, that’s what counts. Nothing wrong with using the classic modeling material, wood. That is some very good looking scratch building!

I wouldn't call this a "plastics" site, it's pretty liberal with regard to materials, subject, scale (if any) and (in my case) sanity. These days a plastic kit is often just an armature on to which is applied photo etch, resin, white metal and 3D-Printed parts...
Cheers,
M

I built an R/C Dumas tugboat, and it sank... but I found it 6 months later when the lake went dry. That was around 1980. I put it back into service for my grandson a few years ago.

Na, you're fine, that'll work. If I may make a suggestion, don't let the kids play with it, HA!

Thanks guys, I have more detail to be added to her and come up with a name too. She will be looking like a used working girl soon…. Ah….. a well used fishing boat instead of her sterile state
