Otto Carius - Meine Dienstzeit “My Military Service” 1940-1945 (100th Birthday Limited Edition) Feist Books - Hard Cover This is a look at the life of Otto Carius, famous German Tiger I commander of WWII. Photos and stories chronicle Otto Carius' entrance into the Wehrmacht as a volunteer, He started as a Loader in a Panzerkampwagen 38 (t). His life as a soldier, and his victories as a Panzer commander for three and a half years on the Eastern Front. It also covers his final Panzerjager Tiger on the Western Front. The book contains over 300 High Quality, detailed photos and illustrations of his numerous medals, decorations and documents. It also contains an interview with Otto Carius about his time in the military, and also contains excerpts from his book "Tiger im Schlamm" (first edition printed 1960). Oberleutnant Otto Carius, October 1944, became the youngest Reserve Officer in the Wehrmacht to receive the Oak Leaves (issue Nr.535). A total of 882 Oak leaves were awarded by 9. May 1945. Thanks guys for both the welcome back and the Birthday wishes... Yup it's another great book by Uwe. Covers everything you need to know about Otto Carius. Even has Illustrations of the tanks he was in. Shawn

I've read Tigers in the Mud about Carius's service, but not this one. I will pick this up and read it.
