It'll always be the A4D-2 to me, but it seems to to confuse the young ones if I call it that. I'm building this to give the 1/72 Tamiya F4D I built recently some company. Fit is mostly great, a little Perfect Plastic Putty here and there, on the wings to reduce the usual step we see where the slat aft edge fits. Here is the current state of things.

Oh very nice project John! Those pre MacNamara era USN aircraft designators can be a bit confusing in their specificity with all those letters, numbers, and placement of the dashes. But quite easy to understand once you know how to decipher them.

That turned out to be one good looking aircraft build in such a small-scale John. Man.....those B-36's were a BEAST of an aircraft in comparison.
