I finally found some time this month to bring a few projects over the finish line. Three are here. The first one is my Orange Hobby US Army D-7 Dozer: The next one is a simple model I finally finished after painting the missile. This is my Hobby Boss SA-2 Guideline on the launcher; the fifth of my six I need for my SA-2 battery: Yes, it is a bit shiny. I need to knock that down a bit, but for all practical purposes, this is done. The third one is one of my recent acquisitions; this is the Trumpeter Russian Luna M FROG-7 missile launcher. I'd been wanting this in my collection ever since I first saw the ancient kit that was in a larger scale. Now that it is in my scale, I finally have it in the collection: These pics actually suck, these look far better in person. Man I miss my camera! Thank you all for looking in, comment are welcome.

They look very nice Mark! I really like the dozer, but I can’t believe that you have five Guidelines now! One more plus the radars and control van and you’ll have a full SAM site!

Leon, thanks! I already have a couple more started.
Carlos, thanks! I actually have everything I need for a full SA-2 Guideline launch site, except for the final Guideline, the communications van and the Fan Song radar system. I guess I could somehow modify something into a generator.
I already have the Spoon Rest radar truck; I just need to get it built. I also have two command trucks that will fit nicely as well as two SAM transport trucks with missiles.

Thank you TJ!
Thank you Silverado Joe! Yes, I do have almost everything to do a full SAM site. I do hope someday to do a diorama of one; however it would most likely be a 'shrunken' one due to space restrictions. For that reason also, I plan on doing it in modules. Six to eight, depending on what works best. All I really need now are a Fan Song radar model. The last one I saw was priced at $125.00USD.
We'll see.....

I was wondering on you you might implement that plan. A full size site in 1/72 would take up quite a chunk of display space, like a big HO model train layout.

I agree Carlos. That is why my effort to make this SAM site will be more of a "Reader's Digest" version (i.e. condensed) in order to fit it on a display table. Modulated would help with transport as well so the whole thing wouldn't have to be strapped to the floor of a 20' container to transport.

Excellent builds Mark. I really like the dozer. You SAM diorama sounds like a very cool endeavor. I will be excited to see that when all done.
