Had so much fun the first time around in 1/72 thought I would give it a go in 1/35. This is the newer Tamiya Jagdpanzer.

Interesting looking hull design. Is Tamiya still fond of motorizing 1/35 models?

Given the work you did on the 1/72 scale version of it......this should be one heckuva thread to follow.
Bookmarked!!

Interesting looking hull design. Is Tamiya still fond of motorizing 1/35 models? Oh no. Tamiya has been doing proper hulls without the motorization slots and holes for many years now. All their retooled kits of various AFVs do not have such features. Now mind you they did do a motorized release of their WWI tank, but that was the exception to any new tool kits over the past 20-25 years.

Thanks all! I got sidetracked for a bit but I started back at it tonight. Typical Tamiya so far, just falls together. This may be seen as blasphemous but I really wish Tamiya would do away with the poly cap running gear, and add some nice link and length track. Then again it can be nice to just slip the rubber band tracks on and call it done.

The joys of WWII German armor kits... lots and lots of road wheels... Now you are doing wrong to German armor. A Matilda II or a Churchill do not have less road wheels!

Nice build selection Mike. Should be fun putting that together and painting and weathering. See you are off to a bang up start with the wheels. I'll be sure to follow along.
Wait! What? You have one here in 1/72? I'm off to find that and give it a healthy peruse.

The commanders and loaders hatches are workable which leaves these teeny tiny hinge pieces, 8 total 6 to go. That's quite a few for older eyes. I try and leave a little extra sprue on these tiny parts to hold onto, I will clean them up after the glue sets.

Even for Tamiya the parts fit is incredible with some pieces just snapping into place. Of course with a touch of CA to keep it so. Would be a good kit for a full interior as you could just set the roof on without glueing, it fits that well.
