Hello everyone. The main enemy of all modelers is dust. Any models suffer from dust. Everyone fights dust with their own methods. I'm tired of dusting my figures. I went to the store and bought a plywood box for 2.35 USD/2.15 Euro. I made a hole in the lid and inserted a transparent plastic. Painted the outside black and applied a glossy varnish. Inside I made a "European corner" (PVC and resin kit Fountain). I made interior lighting. The figure of a medieval knight (54mm) with a halberd now lives in this box. Two months - the figure is not dusty)) The rest of the figures and busts are next in line.

Yes, cases help immensely with fighting dust on our work. But they take up a good bit of shelf display space compared to the basic subject... double edge solution that solves one problem, but eventually creates another.

Object D'Art! Yes it takes more effort (a LOT actually), and it takes more shelf space, but that looks super, super nice! Well done!!!

Your method looks good for small figures, this is the only thing that works for my bigger model collections the two low ones on the left are pretty dust free, the other ones just let a little in

My method for figurines. I plan to hang the boxes on the wall))

For models, you use the best option. But I can place the boxes on the wall like paintings))

Martin, brilliant! Outstanding solution for your incredible artwork!
Me, I don't have the space for even the cases Tony showed; I'd need a warehouse and truckloads of cases I can't afford to house all 1670 models I've completed. Mine will just have to stay dusty until I get the chance to dust them.

I hear you on the dust issue and mine stay in display cases now where just a teeny itsy bitsy amount of dust creeps in. Awesome stuff Vyacheslav!

How many years have you been making these models?

Martin, I've been making these models for 53 years now, with a two-year break at one point. So, actually 51 years. Yeah, a hangar, large warehouse, loft...... all the same and all way out of my price range to do. I don't know if you saw my intro post, but there's some pics in that which help give you a good idea of the scope of this collection.

I left only about 30 models in my collection. And several figures... The rest of the models are in private collections. So I have no problem with a place for the collection.
