That is a cool piece of memorabilia from your modeling past Stik. I am rather enjoying the posting of builds from your past. It's really neat to see the progress in skills as well as the materials available at that time. Not to mention seeing these now "Vintage" kits. Keep them coming.

I'm right there with Joe Rix on seeing builds from the past. That old trusty dog 350 is still a mainstay in my arsenal these days as I use it every time I build an auto build. It works GREAT for area coverage. This build here turned out very well given the fact that you were pretty much just starting out with an airbrush of any sort at that time. I've got builds that are from the 80's that are still holding up fairly well after a good "freshen up" so I get the sentimental value of your build here. Good work and glad you still have this one.

Joe & Joe, thanks for your kind remarks on this oldie. There is just something that I like about my older work, even though my skills were not where they are now. Not to mention my tools available... I was building on a very tight budget back then, and had so little reference material... More older builds are on the way here to the forum. Gonna be doing some family group photos of variants of different subjects.... stay tuned...

I may share some of my "not so often seen" original builds that I've freshened up as well.

Im trying to get my oldest builds and multiple variants done first... but some need a bit of repair work so their will be delays here and there... I did photos of many of them several years back, but those phots were pretty weak... new tools & techniques for photos and suddenly those old builds don't look as horrid...

I love it! I think this kit was my second ever armor kit back in the early 80’s.

Nice work!!! 1988?!? I was only 18 years old and I recently graduated from high school and was about to enroll into the only deaf university in Washington DC. Thanks for making me feel so old...

Well I was 23 years old, less than a year out of the Regular Army at that time, although I had joined up in the Guard, and working on getting hired on the LA County Sheriffs that summer… compared to where I was then, I am old… 🤨 And thanks Andy 😉
