Thank you for sharing these old builds with us Carlos. I think it's a good idea to do that as we all came from somewhere in modeling. I've got a couple of 30+ year old auto models that I keep in original condition just to show folks the progression and that I didn't start out getting these shines that I get these days.
Good stuff man.

Well, posting the old builds is giving me an excuse to repair damage and get better photos of them... plus maybe do a little but of upgrades here and there... And yeah, Rome wasn't built in a day, nor was any of our collections...

Looks like right out of an old Tamiya catalogue. The Greif is also on my wishlist and I studied B&W pictures in the past. I came however, to a different conclusion for the paint job. I don't see grey or olive green in the patches and also no red for the letters. The contrasts are just not stark and dark enough for that.

Glad you have all these old builds to share Carlos. I really wish I had mine.

Tobi, I think it all depends on when some of the photos were taken, as there are several that I’ve found that to my eye look to have the red filled letters on one side, and the two tone camo paint pattern. Thanks Chad. Most of my “older builds” are from age 18 and older. Only a handful have survived from when I was school age. But I’m more than happy to share them. I’ve got quite a few more to go with them, so stay tuned.

Too cool!!! I have the kit from Dragon and it was probably the first five kits I have bought when I returned to the hobby 15 years ago. One day I will build it... LOL

Thanks Andy. I have a different Dragon 250 in my stash, the one with the 37mm gun. I also have another one of these Tamiya kits that I picked up at out old IPMS “distressed kit” auction years ago. That one I plan to do in a Russian Front scheme, without all the extra DAK type stowage.

I coveted that kit as a young modeler, never picked one up as I got WOWED by the 8tn series. Maybe the Nats will find one coming home finally. I personally like the DAK Stik, however looking forward to seeing one from a different front.

I’ve got quite a few more to go with them, so stay tuned. The dust and dirt make it incredibly difficult to judge a color, not to speak of the lighting. It's the same with the early war schemes of grey and brown, or to determine the amount of darkness on a well a dusted tank. Sometimes a grey tank can look even dark yellow. What I've learned about B&W theory is, that red would look most of the time almost black in pictures. That's why I'm unsettled about the lettering on Greif. In the first FAQ by Mig, BTW, is a nice section about how B&W can completely fool you.
