I like the subtle look of the mottle that you achieved on this!

Fw190's are such beautiful aircraft. You've done a great job on sourcing parts from other kits and bringing this one up to speed Carlos. Beautiful work man.

Carlos, I hadn't known that Otaki did the 190, but I looked it up on Scalemates and saw that those molds had a very long life, being issued by ARII, AMT/ERTL, Matchbox, Airfix, and Micro Ace, the latter in 2018. But I'll bet that cooling fan came from the Monogram kit, as you'd be hard pressed to find one in a Jumo powered D series.

I think that I was using my ProModeler airbrush at the time. John, the Tamiya D kit does indeed include those parts. It has a common sprue with their A series kits, and that sprue has the un needed radial engine and cooling fan for an A family 190. All the Otaki kit comes with is the fan and a flat piece behind it. I had to do some surgery in that area to get it all to fit. The Otaki cockpit was rather spartan as well, so between the other two donor 190’s from my stash, I dressed it up a good bit. That area also required surgery, as the proportions of the the Eduard kit are different from those of the Otaki kit. Throw in the Squadron True Details resin seat, and it’s a real hodgepodge mix in there…

Well, I didn't realize my Tamiya D kit had those extra treasures I wouldn't have thought it either John, but I built one and saw the extra parts on the sprues for the A series as well.
