WOW!!! I love that shot of the C-47 banking left. What a beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing that with us Andrew. You're welcome Joe. That is a great shot. The Vulcan brought back memories, as I saw the last flying one not long before it was permanently grounded a few years ago. It was at one of the UK's biggest air shows and as it took off it banked away from us so we were looking straight down the rear of the engines. I have never and I mean never heard such a loud sound.....you could feel our bodies and ground vibrating.....far louder than any of the other modern jets I have ever heard. |

There’s no telling what they are powered by nowadays but I hear what you’re saying about the volume.
You ever heard an F-16 at full throttle? It flat out hurts to hear it

It flat out hurts to hear it You should hear a F-35... those even louder! I get both types flying overhead Monday thru Friday, and the F-35 is markedly louder, both with and without afterburner.... |
