I remember that one and I always wanted to build it as a kid. Such a cool aircraft and I like what you did with this one. I've never used the Tamiya Weathering Medium for the soot stains but it looks like it worked out well for you. I use ground up black pastel dry brushed on to get the effect but it's one of those tomato vs. tom a to things....the end results are the same. Great looking build Carlos!!

SWEET! Mossie is always one of my favorites to see at USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio. I think it is one of the best looking medium bomber! I dig the lightly weathered look on it by the way.

Thanks guys!
Joe, I know that there are better Mossie kits available now, but this is a solid older kit, and good for the novice aircraft builder. The Tamiya wreathing medium is something I can highly recommend.
Andy, the Mossie sure is a looker. I don’t recall ever seeing one in any museums that I’ve visited. I’d love to make the trip to the USAFM in Ohio to see one (plus the rest of that collection).

Dayton is only two hours drive from where I live so I go there almost every year now. I'd be happy to meet you there if you ever visit. It is definitely top three war museums to visit here in USA! 515+ fighters and bombers in four huge buildings.

Sounds about like Pima, both in size and distance from where I live. One day I'll make it there, and when I do I will let you know.

Great looking Mossie. The old Monogram kit wasn't that bad. I've been to Dayton. It took 3 full days to walk through

Thanks TJ. Three days to walk thru the Dayton museum?! Wow! Pima can be done in one from start to finish, if you don't linger at any display. But two days allows for a better experience.

Great job. I recently added the Tamiya Mk VI to the stash. Something about British twin engine fighter/bombers of the era with their forward nacelles make them look so brutish. Great looking build of a great looking airplane.

Thanks John. I have an Airfix FB.VI in my stash to do one day. It sure looks like a nice kit in the box.
