That U-Boot looks gibungus! And that HK Tank is most awesome! I gotta get back to mine. I bought some flashing red and blue LEDs for the police light bars.

That U-Boot looks gibungus! And that HK Tank is most awesome! I gotta get back to mine. I bought some flashing red and blue LEDs for the police light bars. I could never quite understand Skynet's inclusion of those police lights. Canon says that the tanks and aerial HKs were completely designed and built by Skynet. What possible purpose would flashing lights serve in a wholly robotic system where all units are in constant communication with each other? Were they hoping the Resistance vehicles would just pull over for a traffic stop? Did they include them so the humans could get out of the way and not get run over by accident? Are you going to light up the two spotlight 'eyes'?

Wow!!! These are all some incredible builds. Works of art no less. I haven't been to the bench for months but here is what I've done. Been a hot minute since I did these but I'm too busy to build atm. Cessna float plane. Untitled by Brandon Kelly, on Flickr Mandolorian. Fully painted no stickers. brandonkI followed that Cessna build elsewhere and have always thought alot of that build. Came out looking sharp bud. I did NOT know about the Manolorian build. That looks unbelievably realistic. Perfect painting and weathering used on that. I'm with Tony...is that the Bandai kit?

There are so many great builds in this thread from so many different fields. Cars, planes, tanks, ships, figures, Sci Fi... I love the variety that is developing here on the forum again, and also the high skill level the members display and their willingness to share.

Yes, gentlemen, that is the Bandai kit. It fits amazing and doesn't need paint, but I wanted to make it look better than colored plastic. I have another one I will do, but I've got bigger plans for it. I also have old and new Boba Fett, Darth Vader, R2D2 and General Grievous. Really like the Bandai stuff. Thanks for the kind words.

The completed builds from ALL the different genres on display is precisely the reason for this thread. I wanted to get the talents from all members here on this forum to be shown. Alot of forums are segregated out into genres where hardly anyone from any given genre gets a chance to see what the folks in other genres have to offer in terms of skill and talent.
I've been thinking about this for a few weeks but I'd like to say this. Modeling is merely what brings us together. It's the fellowship that we have with one another not only in a common hobby but as people that we're really here for and what keeps this place going if you stop and think about it. The modeling aspect is one of the benefits. To give an example .....take the comedy series, "Cheers" a few decades ago. It was a comedy that took place in a bar of all places where the characters came together and talked about things going on in their lives and it was a pretty good hit. One of the lines in the theme song was "Where everybody knows your name.". It wasn't about getting together to merely drink....it was about the people and the fact that they wanted the companionship and friendship aspect of the place.
That's kind of what I like about MSC....yes, it's modelers that all come together in one place, but we ask questions, get involved and talk about a lot of other subjects as well. It's a good place to "hang out" , get to know each other through our modeling and is becoming more and more like a place where "everybody knows your name" and setting it apart from other forums that I've seen where folks just come and show their stuff and never get to know anyone really.
This forum is definitely growing not only in number but quality as well. Thank you all for making MSC what it is today and it's my hope that it stays around and active for a long time to come.
Joe

Next one will get the elbows and knees filled with Epoxy sculpt to both hold the pose better and make it look far more lifelike. That's the only thing about these that I don't like is the joints are articulated and that is cool but has it faults as well.

Completed for me is always a relative thing given my need to put things on bases. Here's one that's done but not done Takom's Tiger II with Zimmerit, Porsche turret, and complete interior. I added Fruil tracks to this build largely because I'd originally intended to display this with an articulated suspension, a plan that went out the window once I found the kit was very fiddly with alot of parts interference. I'll get it on a base one day. This one's actually done Academy's 1/144 scale Bone. A relaxing and happy build much like the Tammy T-55 it presented no mousetraps and superb fit. It's even very well detailed considering the scale. OK there's mine

Those are both some very good looking builds Mark!! When I was a kid, my parents bought me the Revell 1/48 B-1. MAN that was a big box!! I never got around to building it because I just kept gawking at the size of the dang thing. Way too intimidating for me at the time. 1/144 sounds like about the right size to take on though.
